my next door neighbor has a 10(?) yo daughter and for whatever reason she really likes to tease me and make jokes with me

just earlier she literally yelled out loud "I LIKE YOU SO MUCH" in front of my house while I was lifting and I replied with "ok, I like you too" and her parents and grandparents happened to hear this and they stared at me like I'm a fucking criminal

what the fuck did I do wrong. there's NO WAY they can think that I "like" their daughter/grandchild as how a male likes a female
