I was an atheist for 8 years. Then I turned back to Christ but I still refused to read the Bible or take it as seriously as I should have for another 8 years. It's been less than a year but I'm almost done with the Bible and I cannot believe how much closer to God I am now. Start reading from within the gospel of Matthew at the very beginning is my recommendation but most of all pray to the Lord and see what His recommendation is

You don't even need to read old revisions of the Bible like the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Septuagint to realize Christianity and judaism are full of shit. You just need to carefully read Genesis and notice YHWH has to ask Adam where he is in the garden of Eden while boasting of being omniscient.
