4chan is almost exclusively fringe weirdos social shaming each other. I looked into the distant past archives and it was the same shit then too. Some fedora would post something provocative in a Christian thread and anons would dismiss him because he had implied social shame due to infringing on some ancient memetic social norm no one remembers anymore. Anons claim 4chan leads the culture but that’s not quite true. Past 4chan had tons of memes that I never saw outside the site and the social shaming arguments were hard to follow because they were entirely based on what was socially acceptable on a fringe website. 4chan is blatantly a contradiction in that regard too. You go to anonymous places to escape social pressure and to escape responsibility to protecting your good name. Using social bullshit on 4chan is like pissing on an umbrella. Yellow goo people can’t help using social shaming even when it makes no sense to do so.
