>>17659567This is the most important point ITT. Nicotine really doesn't do anything.
It makes you relaxed for about 15 seconds, and you get that minuscule social benefit from meeting people on smoke breaks.
But this is FAR outweighed by the monetary+health costs, and most of all, the brutal, fiendish effect that sets in when you want a smoke but can't get one. And this situation will INEVITABLY arise in your life, from time to time, even if you're a billionaire.
There are some people who are truly able to consume nicotine purely at will, only when they "actually want to" - but most people who say they are like this are lying.
I recommend to all non-smokers to avoid ever having nicotine, whether mixing it with another drug or for any other reason, because genuinely after just four or five cigarettes, there is a high likelihood that you will straight up rewire your brain into permanently demanding that chemical, and you will not be able to fully unwire that shit until you die.
And I'm not some anti-drug guy, I've tried heroin, crack, etc - found them enjoyable, didn't get addicted. But nicotine's just a waste of time.
