Hey /bant/ I don't know much about law when visiting different countries. If I break the law am I arrested there or just sent back home?

Like, if I were to go to England and urinate on several war memorials, run around screaming BEADY EYES FULL OF LIES BEADY EYES FULL OF LIES and punch a few people, would I be arrested in the UK or detained then sent back to America?

What about that guy who was arrested for like 10 years in Turkey, though? And if I were to theoretically do that stuff would I face charges back in the States or just not be allowed in the UK again?

It depends on the country and the crime. Committing crimes in foreign nations means youre violating their laws and will fall in their jurisdictions. If its a dumb crime and their an ally theyll prob just send you home. However, other places you might not get lucky and releasing you will require negotiations or serving a sentence
