"The Executioner and Her Way of Life" was better than "The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady" as a yuri isekai anime.

I loved it. The main character wasn't insanely overpowere like most isekai. It's a shame it probably won't get a 2nd season. It seems like the type of anime to blueball you and force you to read the manga or novel to finish the story.

I agree. I wasn't a big fan of either of them but I liked The Executioner more because the world was more fleshed out and the characters all had plans. The main character wanted to kill Akari, actually comes up with ways to kill her, and then tries them out. The main problem with Executioner was that Akari was way too overpowered, to the point where the stakes were very low (She could travel back in time, heal anybody, and was invincible). I didn't like how the main villains were pure evil and it was clear who was in the right. It is hard to understand their motivations aside from selfishness or even worse (with pandaemonium) evil for the sake of fun. It was better than Reincarnated princess because the story was driven by the main characters. Whenever they get information, they act on it. They are uncovering mysteries which makes the characters feel important. The princess and that pink haired girl were fun to watch and I liked them more than the two main characters.

I am guessing that you are talking about "The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady" because the other one had some of the most OP powers I've seen. It is good that the main character of Reincarnated Princess wasn't OP. A problem I had with Reincarnated Princess was that it was hard to understand how the characters acted within the setting. Like how the princess doesn't have any positive older figures in her life except for her parents. If she were a real princess then she would have advisors and teachers even if she did renounce her birthright. She would definitely have an advisor the second they decided to make her into a queen. Nobody in the setting (not even the conservatives) are very spiritual given that they are living in a theocracy. The part where the vampire girl has a casual conversation with Algard after his plot fails makes no sense, the vampire girl wouldn't be all casual with him a day after he ripped her chest open and almost killed her. I didn't like how the characters were cooped up inside most of the time instead of going places. (1/2)

Anis wants to explore magicology but it seems like she is opportunistic rather than proactive. We never see her specifically hunting for stuff, we only ever see her learning about things happening and reacting to them. It feels like she doesn't have any long term problems. I would have liked the story more if she figured out she needed something for an invention and then took steps to find what she needed. But instead what happens is a problem comes out of nowhere, she solves the problem, and then she figures out how she can benefit. Like when a dragon comes to the town, she kills it, and then she uses its body for magic. We never knew she wanted the dragon parts until it came. It feels like Anis is reacting to immediate events instead of trying to figure things out and using her knowledge to get her way. I couldn't sympathize with Algard, his emotional arc needed more work. I hated the part where Algard gives a passionate speech asking the king to let him kill the dragon and then Anis just takes it from him. I would have liked Algard more if I saw him doing good things. If I liked him more then it would have made the part where he fights Anis more exciting. I have only watched to episode 10 so I might change my opinions after the last two episodes. (2/2)
