nothing is gonna resolve itself that quickly, especially considering all the social cancer that has been adopted in general starting with the devaluation of the institution of the marriage, church, monarchy etc.
there WILL come a day where all of our contemporary pseudo-morality is going to be shattered and a new theocratic regime is placed in its stead, but we will most likely not see to live it. just like the early christians did not see the christian religion blossom before they died in martyrdom.

christianity is certainly far more intellectually robust than islam, if I had to cast predictions, christianity replacing islam is more likely than islam replacing christianity. we have the internet nowadays, and the caliphate is dead, so the religion of the charlatan will just naturally wither away as it should have long ago. regardless, much of the trajectory of the decline of the christian religion can be reversed , and is being reversed. the key again is information. The religion, the theology and the scriptures have been slandered, misrepresented and obscured. If people are informed about the religion, I am sure many will flock back to the church.

The internet lets you reach almost anyone from anywhere yet Christianity hasn't been able to use it as a conversion tool. At least not well enough to stay ahead of the decline in belief. There's a reason the more eccentric nu-age christians want to 'retvrn to tradition' and become more isolationist. Captive audience brain washing is much easier than the free flow of information that the internet is offering.

I think the internet has been a pretty ok tool. Religious discourse continues online. The free flow of information did not cause a collapse of the Christian religion that many nay-sayers would have expected. I think that the situation now is better than before the internet, where some TV show or some personality could slander or deride the religion, and most people would just take it at face value without having any access to critical material like over the net. Certainly, any intelligent and informed Christian would not want to return to isolationism. Forced belief is absolutely worthless.
Social trends can change over time. I think it is inevitable that in a few generations, there will be a major shift away from liberal values, which are all phony beliefs anyway, and return to an actual moral system whether based on reason or belief.

Religion actively discourages free thinking by demanding unquestioning faith and obedience to dogma. Christianity and Islam are based on unverifiable scripture, not evidence, and definitely not "intellectual robustness"

The only way religions perpetuate themselves is through indoctrinating young, impressionable minds before they develop critical thinking skills. All the arguments that Christians have for the truthfulness of their religion are pretty sound. Whereas the arguments against Christianity are just a bunch of interpolations, misrepresentations, or straight up warping of history and scripture. Apostasy is mostly caused by ignorance of the religion. Internet atheism is an almost unknown phenomenon. The only thing that obliterates religiosity is the utter lack of morality in the general population.
