yes... I think, basically it's like a storage location right? either inside the function/object, or globally (easily accessible), or something else (I forgot the last one already)
the explanation in the course was detailed but because I'm a dum-dum it doesn't help. I can only understand the core principle if it's shortened to a few sentences.

i like to imagine it like boxes
each function has its own little box with variables and objects that only it can access (while the global scope is kind of a big box that contains all other boxes that can be accessed by everyone)

yes I think I understood it well enough thank you.
