also I hate how the stormcloaks work, the only canon way to join them is to be a nord because they're xenophobic nords but since the dragonborn by default is clueless about skyrim and dragonborns it is extremely jarring because dragonborns are nord folklore that even children knows about so your backstory is basically set as a nord that isn't a native of skyrim. bethesda is absolutely incapable of making an rpg character that is a blank slate and not shovel in hodd toward's fantasies
