tinytrip was an internet bodybuilder (and he was the one who coined 'please be in london' because he fell for traps twice it was the funniest shit)
he had push ups in his routine and he said he regretted it because it didn't help his bench at all or his shape so he ditched them.
and then there's the opinion that calisthenics is really just bad resistance training without the resistance weight provides (except chin ups which are always hard but you can add weight to those too)
but calisthenics is definitely not pointless tho if the alternative is literally nothing so i don't know where i was going with this sorry
