i dont think it is stressful in a way that it shortens the lifespan, in fact eating high metabolism increases the speed at which cells age iirc

Epstein barr virus, cytomegalovirus, jc virus, other herpesviruses (total of 8).... I bet all sorts of chronic illnesses would disappear if we could rid ourselves of these viruses.

if you search up studies about these common viruses you'll find some of them are linked to various cancers. i don't know if they can cause heart disease though, but my limited knowledge tells me that they make our cells age faster for example. immune system is constantly controlling them, preventing replication. cancer rates go up because of multiple reasons. epstein barr virus lifecycle is so complex that researchers prefer studying "easier" viruses such as HIV for example....
