For years after I quit I would have dreams where nothing would happen but literally I would stand there and smoke an entire cig.
So vivid I would wake up feeling bad that I had smoked again.
The craving goes away. But man, that a substance would give literal dreams of consuming it is scary

nicotine creates neural pathways that are permanent. Especially for a regular smoker. As you abstain from smoking, the neural pathways get used less but they are still there. So once in awhile you might see someone smoking or some other trigger that activates them.

Thats quite normal when you have an addiction, whenever i go on my yearly weed break(all winter) i'd have dreams in wich i'd find random pot stashes in my home, or dream of me doing stuff while having joints in my mouth

Quitting with vape was super easy. I vaped while I was smoking until I couldn't finish a smoke if I had vaped too soon before smoking. So I just stopped smoking and continued vaping. I've been vaping ever since.

Not the giant clouds fag vape. A mouth-to-lung like smoking. I chose flavorless juice and I never got sick of it. It has been over ten years now.
