I haven't played 4 yet I just finished New Vegas. Don't fucking ruin it for me.

Also nobody in these games is based. Dr. whatshisface is a globalist cuck. The boomers are ineffectual gun nut separatists. The brotherhood is just stupid. The Ceasars are just muh evil nazis bad goy stereotype. The NCR is basically just liberal America, so of course they get to be the "good goys".

I don't get the Fallout 4 hate. I've played Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skryim when they all came out. Oblivion being my favorite. I've also played Fallout 3, New Vegas, and Fallout 4. Fallout 4 is my favorite. People constantly bitching about how it sucks surprises me. I don't know, I don't get the hate. It's a great game. The settlement thing was kind of useless, but I liked it. I liked building fortresses and I liked all of the clutter actually having a use.

The game got hate because it's not really Fallout or an RPG. Very few of your choices matter. Your character build doesn't matter. Few quests were actually interesting and weren't just fetch quests or "go to X, kill Y, return". The game over relies on radiant quests which get very repetitive very quick (fuck building 9001 settlements for Preston). All of the main factions suck (the Minutemen are incredibly boring [and weak], the Railroad only care about the synths and have no plan for the commonwealth, the Brotherhood are psychotic ideologues who will also extort farmers, and the Institute are comically evil and narrowminded). The main story's writing was meh. Preston Garvey is an insufferable, bland niggerfaggot with a highly basic backstory and one dimensional personality.
I don't hate Fallout 4. I actually like it, however, it is missed opportunity: the game.

Last time I played 4, I tried to side with the Institute but they simply suck, classic Bethesda faction. No clear motivations, no negotations for change, things just "are" and you are the only one to do them. Very few side quests, and when you are made the top dog, no real control over the institution.
So I just sided with the Brothers from the hood, and mass minecrafted every single degenerate, drug addict, mutant, synth, railroad and ghoul I came across. Balls to the wall, had the most fun actually cleansing the wasteland. The DLCs actually let you take this route and while it offers less dialogue, it feels the best.
