>>17925906>Women who have only one or two children are helicopter parents who never force their children to develop competitive social strategies. This has some truth to it.
I've been building a flock of chickens the last two years.
I've built up to a flock of 28 hens and 2 roosters.
The first year I only had 8 and I was like a helicopter parent. Just constantly checking on them and worrying.
Now, two years and 22 more chickens later and I'm very comfortable leaving them to their own devices.
I still enjoy feeding them and interacting with them daily, but its a different dynamic. I trust my roosters to protect them (to their best ability), and I trust the process I've created for them all, and I've relaxed and become far less concerned with their daily issues.
I imagine the same sort of view of even your own children would occur when you have a bunch.
You don't care less about them, you just see it all with a different perspective.
