Can atheists have morality?

I'm not talking now about some arbitrary set of rules that could even coincide with Christian morality, like: don't kill, don't steal, don't rape, etc. I am talking about a set of rules that an atheist himself might call true that is corresponding to the actual state of affairs in reality. As a Christian, I did not invent or choose that murder is bad, the immorality of murder is an objective fact about reality, it will remain true even if I and all people disbelieve in it. How can an atheist have such morality? If the natural world is all there is, then why should I believe in the truth of the statement "x is wrong"?
