I haven't been to Denny's in years, but they're basically considered trucker food where I live so they tend to be pretty cheap yes. Anyway, broadly speaking the full American breakfast is similar to the full English, we just cut out the mushrooms, tomatoes, and beans (not to say we don't like or eat those, just that they're considered a lunch and especially dinner food instead) for pancakes instead. And you know, delete blood sausage. Don't ask me why exactly we stopped eating it, but growing up at least the protestants around me insisted eating blood was a sin so maybe it comes from that.

You dont eat the streaky bacon from the belly you are just eating fat. You can use that as a cooking ingredient for other dishes.
Bacon that you eat is made from the back of the pig. See attached pic.

And to not be ham it should be cured in salt so strong that it explodes in your mouth and you have to have a sit down after eating to give your taste buds a rest. American bland bacon certainly doesnt do that.

Brits don't eat bacon, they eat pork LOIN with a tiny bit of belly to one side. This is why they like "canadian bacon" because it's all loin.
You see, british people hate flavorful food, so they can't appreciate pork belly. They only eat the least flavorful lean cuts of meat because their entire nation was too poor to afford higher quality fatty cuts of meat with lots of flavor. Kind of like how Boomers raised by depression-era parents eat simple poor-people food with no seasoning and think it's tasty.
