I regularly go to gym when I'm home. I also do some other hobbies that take time and expertise. But when depression hits it sucks all motivation out of me.

Eating 7-eleven cup ramen and some sandwich for evening snack atm. Cheered me up a bit I feel like.

What you can do is take the time for you to enjoy things and their intricacies. Think of the fact that you are lightyears ahead in a better place than somebody handicapped without arms and unable to actually use the internet easily. Enjoy things to their fullest and be grateful of what you have, have an optimistic mindset. There are people who wish they were in your position right now. If all else fails and your brain genuinely is malfunctioning, look into alternative/experimental therapies for chronic depression.

I've actually tried to think like that for like the past year. At first it worked, my perspective was shifted and I was enjoying small things in life. Now it doesn't work anymore, I don't know why. I can understand the different perspective of someone else who is in a less fortunate position, but it doesn't make me appreciate my life more anymore.
