I am aware. The area I'd be working doesn't have steep slopes, which cuts down on the danger significantly. Still, though, it would be dangerous work, but I welcome a challenge.

Long drive to-from job site.

Forestry is an exceedingly dangerous occupation. More so than cops or firefighters. Most guys I know who cut trees are independant contractors becasue climbing up into a tree with a chainsaw and cutting on it requires insurance that no employer can afford. I do my own and run a new, fast, professional saw to get in and out very fast. Trees can look ok to the untrained eye and be a disaster inside. They can unload unpredicably. You can have accidents in loading and transportation. Id do it. Keeps you in shape, fresh air. On the good side, accidents are likely to be fatal.
