My father was 180 IQ, super-genius for engineering/design/build, but insane/stupid in everything else. Hard man to deal with, possibly Asperger Syndrome (severe)
The one thing we could bond over was Space Program & Sci-Fi. He naively believed that when future people improved his work, that everyone was going to become the best versions of themselves and life would be like Star Trek - boy was he freaking wrong. this shit brought out the worst in Humanity. My dad helped bring down civilization- and he had the best of intentions.
