As someone who leaves there, based on your IP, how bad is it really?

I visited once and went through an area right outside of London, trying to get to bagels on Brick Lane, and the whole area was like sketchy as fuck. Literally selling burkas in storefronts and me and my wife felt like we were being stared at.
