the lonely god cheers over the fact that he will always be able to create something new, but laments over the fact that whatever he create will never be original. his toil is eternal, a tradition that is forgotten, only to be remembered. eventually, it will be his time to go, and a new god will take his place, and he will be uncertain if he is able to fulfil his responsibility to the same degree as the lonely god, but he wouldn't be there in the first place if he couldn't.
