It's 3DPD w*men larping as 2D girls, but the difference is that 2D girls are made by men, so they have personalities and ask engaging questions/present interesting answers. 3DPD can't do that, so their content gets repetitive and they have to rely on memes, many times shitty, that circulate around their characters. Eventually, because they can't into male hobbies and behaviour, in general, because women couldn't, can't, and never will understand males, they have to resort to produce content by talking about topics that relate to being a 3DPD w*man. Then they have to rely on sharing IRL events with their fanbase, that means involving their whore non-vtuber friends, involving their IRL family, and posting general IRL-born drama between vtubers. Because they start letting their IRL shit leak into the 2D world, they eventually let out that they have a boyfriend, and then, finally, and self-respecting but slow man understands that they've been made into cuckolds.
Vtubers also end up promoting woke shit. Japanese promote woke shit too, but more hidden and less than their western counterparts, but holy shit, western vtubers are crop of the cancer. Imagine liking western vtubers.
Vtubers are to weebs what OF is to coomers: the greatest wealth transfer between the sexes to ever happen.
Weebs got confused because they've seen the capabilities of a 2D character given life, so they ended up thinking vtubers were actually 2D, instead of a 3DPD cosplaying as 2D. But thankfully, this is changing, as vtubers' viewer retention has been seeing constant decrease.
