oh my cat also almost jumped out of the window like yesterday, he saw a fucking fly near my opened window and he rushed towards it and almost jumped into the windows's aperture i barely managed to grab him by his tail and stop him milliseconds before he did that, but how did she fell off was she also pursuing something or was it an accident of some kind

i don't really know what your relationships with your mother are but do you suspect her doing something bad to your cat, it's not like it can really help but it surely is not your fault and like maybe you would like to get a new cat sometime in the future
i know it sounds like "oh your mom died why don't you go and find yourself a new mom" but the chances of this new cat also being pretty sweet are pretty high

No I don't think my mom intentionally did anything to her.
Also I promised my cat I'll never leave her all alone and honestly I've never had anything to live for except her.

i don't think you should necessarily kill yourself because your cat is currently in this tragic state but yeah it's kinda depressing, and are you sure she's unsaveable after this event
maybe they can operate her and do something to her spine, not for free i think but maybe you should try taking her into some private vet clinics if is it possible to take her anywhere and if there are any private vet clinics where you live, maybe it's still not over

my grandma's cat was hit by a car. they took her to a some shady quack instead of a well known clinic.
as grandma, who isn't very bright, explained it to me later, the quack didn't even use x-ray or whatever, didn't suggest to put her down. he simply gave two injections and said to come back tomorrow for a surgery.
i found out about it when it was too late.
the cat was in a very bad condition. when grandma took her, she screamed and convulsed, that was scary.
she died that night, prolly bc of lack of a proper veterinarian help.
maybe the clinic would put her down, idk. i hate everything about this stupid story, the animal suffered for about 24h without a proper care. stupid old people must not have pets

They did do an x-ray this morning and showed me how messed up her spine is. Tomorrow they'll do a CT scan to see if there's anything to be done.

I know the wishes of some random stranger on the internet doesn't mean much but I sincerely hope your cat is able to recover from this. It's not easy seeing them suffer though and I hope the two of you can get through this and go back to the way things were prior to the incident

I don't think its my place to tell someone how much hope they have personally. Especially when all you can do right now is wait until they can get looked at by the CT machine. And now it's almost 6 hours to go so it's getting there but I'm sorry that it's still so far away. I don't know how long the testing and going over the tests will take but make sure to get some rest yourself too even if you don't leave her side while doing so

I can't sleep because she gets very agitated every half hour or so and tries to get off the table she's on. She did that twice as I was trying to write this message.
If I wouldn't be here and take care of her they'd probably put her in a cage, all alone.

Their CT scanner broke this morning apparently and we had to transfer her to another clinic where she'll get the scan tomorrow or this evening.
I'm also not allowed to be with her like I was in the previous place.. So she'll be all alone, locked in a cage, which honestly breaks my heart.
I haven't had anything to eat or any sleep, but i don't feel the need for any of that, I just wanna be next to her.

she doesn't look that bad in fact she looks very much okay so that's definitely a good thing i'm sure she'll be fine it doesn't seem like she's going to not live anytime soon even though i'm not a doctor but still i have a good feeling about her
and i'm pretty sure they have at least some shops or restaurants around there so i don't think she will be very mad if you go and buy yourself something to eat while they're waiting to give her a scan

I'm home right now. Like I said the scan might not even be today.
And she might look okay, but she's on a lot of painkillers because I imagine a fractured spine fucking hurts.
And the issue isn't about survival, she can live if given painkillers daily. The issue is about her not being able to walk and more importantly not being able to control her bladder and bowel movement. If I choose to let her live like this it'll be a miserable experience, because her hind legs will more or less start to rot.

yeah that makes sense i really hope the medical science is advanced enough that they can fix that somehow and then she'll recover alright, cats really are like humans but torturing them with medications is also not the best option so i do hope this clinic has some good doctors that know how to operate and fix felines, like it's definitely not impossible to fix those issues cats always fall from balconies and windows it's a pretty regular occurrence i think, even my cat already almost fall off like three times
