America was built on progression and the countryside life is seen more as draconian. There's "little to do" in the country and people need constant stimuli when their lives are abhorrent. They need distractions.
Blacks in America are mostly born into cities and then take on the values of said city. Talk to any black from Cali and you'll see a pride in the shithole that is Compton.
Same thing around the whole country. It's not so much that we're adverse to nature more that all the jobs and opportunity are in cities where middle management needs to get their fix watching people and ordering them around to feel big.
