It's been ages since I played but I found it easy, just tedious and time consuming since basically the rest of WW2 happens without you
iirc it's
1) rush the warlord reunification war focus (whatever the fuck that was)
2) research engineers, rifles and AA, focus entirely and solely on these
3) garrison the ports BUT NOT the sides. MANUALLY micro your forces, don't use battleplan lines or garrison orders
4) conquer all the warlords before the Japs attack
5) aim to hold the Shanxi (sp?) Region and river line BUT NOT Beijing, its indefensible
6) you should have at least 48 shitty 10ws and 12+ 10ws with full engineer and AA. Gradually increase the number of divs with full kit (such as it is....). Live with the fact that you will be in the hole for rifles for a time at the start.
>>18203790>you want to have 3 divisions per port - one on the port and one either side of itThis is for MP
For SP you WANT the AI to land around the port, but not on the port. Then you fuck his 0 supply marines like a boss
So here's the plan. Have at least 2 shittys on each port. Have a response force of 2 or 4 shittys nearby. The AI naval invades one at a time so it's easy to play whackamole. NEVER LOSE A PORT. if the port is falling, pull off a div or two from your reaction force and stuff them in, they should buy you time to reorg. When the port battle is defeated, you will usually have stranded enemy units on either side, trapped without supply lines. They're so easy to fuck over, it's cruel. DO NOT use your port garrison, you need that entrenchment. Use your reaction force divs to wipe them out.
Monitor your northern sector. You should be able to set up level 1 forts at least but they will still fold under tank and CAS. That's where your "elite" (sigh) divs come in. Anywhere you see breakthroughs happening, feed your elite divs in one by one, cycle them out when org is low. AA 1 can fuck light tanks.
