What is your perspective on femininity in your respective country?

From what I have observed the Latin Hemispheres are matriarchal. Mothers are the very pillar of a family: cooking, cleaning, affection, distractions, education, and cultural enrichment. Fathers? They are the base of the house providing shelter. A mother sustains the roof. To draw a little cosmic analogy, the Sun is the ultimate feminine figure providing and nurturing warmth; the Father is the Earth providing bountiful fruits and terrain to walk on. A personal anecdote observed is the view that cooking, nurturing, and giving affection to children, or rather life itself is seen a feminine. I view this warped perspective denoting women as a defined variable rather than a symbol of life itself. Defined variable meaning: you cook, you clean, you do all the household responsibilities; therefore, you are feminine. Women and Men are two halves of a whole not a single entity. A Mother gardens a proper flower, and a Father winnows the garden to create a disciplined environment. What are your thoughts? Do you feel your Mother is a strong figure in your life?
