Redpill me on getting treatment for depression. Is it just talking to some overpaid Jew Doctor who will prescribe me psychiatric medication?

Is there any way to get the suicidal thoughts to stop?
I just want to be happy.

Being depressed is a set of behaviors. If you stop the behaviors, then you quit being depressed. All you have to do is just be normal and do normal people things like going to work or school, have hobbies, exercise, socialize etc. The cure depression is just not being depressed.

I'm not saying do it all at once. You incrementally re-normify yourself 1% at a time and even then you will eventually level off at a low grade of depression and not become any happier no matter how hard you try but it is better than being suicidal.

I've had severe depression my entire life, mainly due to an undiagnosed personality disorder.
Here's the redpill anon. You have to want with your entire will to get better. Drugs, shock treatment, tms, none of these will help unless you put the effort in and push yourself. The best drugs can do is give you a kickstart to wellness. Exercise, not for anyone else but just to feel better in general. Touch grass. Get some sun.

Eat well, sports genuinely provides some small relief - but you have to take them seriously to some extent (and how hard this is depends on your physical health mostlly), sleep well, get enough sunlight and get some social contacts.

The pills are just there to borrow more time for you so that you can fix yourself, they carry high risks in many ways but you can figure out if they're right with the help of a jewdoctor, though i recommend against calling them that.

Tranquilizer meds are fine short-term. They help you hack your brain to get through shit without developing an illegal addiction. They do have withdrawls and do damage long term, though, so don't use them for longer than like 6 months.

engage in active problem solving.
i feel like the medication schedule is more theraputic than than the medication itself sometimes.

if you are focused too much on the bad stuff then focus more on the good stuff.
scheduling your week out helps.

what makes life worth living?
what would make life worth living?
continue to deconstruct those answers.

theres some free online cognitive behavioral therapy exercises you can do.

I went through a long phase of depression….at age 19 I went to prison for 18 months. I got out right around my 21st birthday and had some long term depression until about age 29.

I had moments of happiness here and there but shit job prospects kept the depression around. You know what I did right after I turned 29? Sold everything I owned and moved to West Texas and worked in the oil field.

Hard work but instant 6 figure salary. A year later I had my first child and then got married.

I’m 38 now, have a great job (no longer in the oil field so I can be home every night and have weekends off) married with 2 boys. I exercise daily. Eat right. Own a house and am enjoying life.

Moral of the story: you can’t wallow in your depression. Take control of your life and make the change. Also don’t expect overnight results.
