I was once like this, couldn't understand how people could continuously drink this poison. Whenever I drank I would be hungover and fell shit. The thing is, for people with crippling anxiety, eventually you work out that alcohol completely stops the anxiety and lets you function socially. The hangovers stop feeling so bad and instead of feeling sick, you just feel anxious. So you get some more beers to level out. On weekdays I drink very light amounts throughout the evening. Only on Friday and Saturday do I sip whiskey, and even then I never over indulge.
Weed however sucks in my opinion. I think weed is one of the worst drugs you can do.

I did all that actually, then I made the choice to start drinking because doing it the right way was too hard. The covid lockdowns and jab mandates in australia meant I lost my job and couldn't go to the gym anymore, plus I lost my place in a state level sporting team.
