The way you have your countries can make for some interesting politics.
For example, "Papal State Like Country" supporting "Feudal England" to protect itself from the "Tribe Confederation" is an obvious one. This could, potentially, allow "Feudal England" to put some political pressure on "Papal State Like Country" to deliver some demands, saying they would not protect them unless those demands are met.
However, if those Jötunn like creatures are regularly trying to go up north, then the "Feudal England" would not want to be so hard on "Tribe Confederation". This could cause the "Feudal England" to kinda play the guy in the middle, trying to maintain its relations with "Papal State Like Country" and the "Tribal Confederation".
Meanwhile the "Freeholds" could use this conflict to make some money, trading with all the sides in the conflict, much like USA in real life. This could make "Freeholds" the economic capital of the world.
This is a nice map to mess around with.
