Modern America has no inspiring art or ideas. We're a culture of mass surveillance, forced conformity and acceptance, and fear. Modern films are not as interested in creating something entertaining or interesting as they are just creating things to send a message. They exist for social engineering. It's the most soulless and uninspiring period of art that has possibly ever existed because no controversial art is ever created. Artists used to create deeply thoughtful concepts that the masses may not grasp. Modern artists specifically create dumbed down art with mass appeal so that their simplistic messages can be spread and absorbed by the idiot masses.
Modern art must conform to its PC liberal masters, and so it has no creativity. They have a flowchart that every single piece of modern art follows. Its ideas must be sanitized and not dangerous or offensive to the public. Women must be portrayed as strong and powerful or else victimized unfairly. The only exception of this is white women who may be portrayed as weak or evil as long as its in relation to a minority character and not a white male. This kind of strict adherence to wokeness has destroyed modern art.
So the era where a film director could just write a film about what inspired them or what they thought was fun or clever, that never happens anymore. All art must bend the knee to woke culture.
What it boils down to is the very vast majority of modern art is not fun, interesting, or entertaining, but merely exists as a tool of social engineering and repetitive moral reinforcement of leftist morals. Modern American entertainment and culture is so sterilized and Africanized that it's honestly sickening and I just don't watch or listen to it anymore.
