No. Believe it or not but gigantic super skyscraper weapons are still vulnerable to being swarmed by smaller ground units and destroyed by way of the smaller and way more numerous ground units concentrating all of their fire upon it. Which is why these skyscaper super weapons are accompanied and assisted (i.e. defended) by a huge army and are also used inside massive battles
skirmisher troops like imperial guard or space mariness are used for skirmishing, they are far more common and super expendable (one more than the other)
giant units are easier swarmed and taken down. They need to be assisted by an army. M2TW is a place for army vs army battles
warsword conquest is skirmish vs skirmish, where you fight against very common fodder troops and the occassional troll here and there. trolls are expendable medium-large units.
