This picture is called the Hubble Deep Field.
They pointed the Hubble Space Telescope at what seemed to be an empty dark patch of space and let it collect light for a few days.
The result was thousands of galaxies millions of lightyears away.
Imagine that if you look up to the sky and focus on one single point in space. That point contains thousands of galaxies, with each one having billions of stars and planet systems.
This is the most important picture humanity has ever taken.
How can you look at this and say we are the only lifeform in the universe?
We are definitely not alone.
