Does anyone have any ideas? I am writing my own story for a comic book I plan to write, and draw. I want to include a fictional world that draws parallels closely to the real world, but takes some sort of twist instead. I had some ideas but I forgot most of them, I was thinking something to do with the cold war? I was thinking about watching some docs on the 1980s and brushing up on my history again.

I guess I am thinking an alternative timeline/history of the real world. It's based on the real world but it's not completely the same.

I was thinking that there was more wealth and income prosperity, but that changed in the 70s and 80s with neo-liberal politics that were implemented which affects you still see to this day, so that's pretty obvious. I wanted the 80s and the cold war to play sort of a central part but I forgot how it sucks.

Wondering if anyone knows any good books or docs.
