I'm an author and the Zoomer fan mail I get is so poorly written that I genuinely wonder how they fuck they can read and understand my books. When I ask them specific questions about what they liked about the books their answers are so superficial. They have no deeper understanding of what they're reading beyond the surface level. This is genuinely depressing to me and makes me feel like the way I put my heart and soul into my works is just wasted. Is this just because they're stupid/uneducated or do they genuinely not experience the world and their emotions in a meaningful way?
