I've been in Bosnia for the past two weeks. Can someone explain "Bosniaks" to me?

>used to be Serbs and Croats
>hate Serbs and Croats
>accept Islam from Ottomans in return for lower taxes
>common Bosniak names are Muhammed, Hamza, Abdullah
>but they call Serbs Turks
>50% of the country belongs to Serbs
>25% belongs to Croatians
>25% belongs to Bosniaks
>they pride themselves in "winning" the war
>they speak Croatian but call it "Bosnian"
>they consider king Tvrtko, a Serbian, the best ruler Bosnia ever despite hating Serbs
>speak of Islamic values but drink alcohol
>blame Serbs and Croats for their lack of development

What are "Bosniaks" exactly? It seems their entire existence is just a collection of lies, self-contradictions and coping.
