meh. the better explanation is there were multiple christ savior cults in the first century... post temple (after the Romans flattened Jerusalem). Early Christianity as we know it was mire of a syncretism of those cults and beliefs. You see it in the obvious difference between gospel and Pauline Christianity. But you can also see remnants in passages about James the teacher of righteousness, John the Baptist, Cephus and others. IMO the jews DID subvert the early church and it is most glaringly obvious in Marcion.... who wrote what many scholars believe was the first gospel..... with NO Jewish sky daddy. But you can also see it in other pre Christian "gnostic" sects. I'd argue that the priest class just moved from Jerusalem to Rome. Same shitbags, similar religion.
