those figures are Chladni figures
they represent vibration modes of a vibrating medium
modes are just when the particular dimensions across which a wave bounces, the celerity of the wave in the vibrating medium, and the frequency of the wave, are arranged so that a wave reflection is synchronized with the next coming wave, which severly rises the wave intensity
easily, by 20-30dB, meaning the medium is deformed 100-1000 times more than usual: the only thing that prevents infinite amplitude being losses in the system, or possibly that the system breaks; without taking dissipation in account, resonance literally amounts to trying to divide by zero, in the equations
now, modify the dimensions of the medium (here, the diameter of the water container) or the celerity of waves in the medium (eg, replace water by sand, or oil) and resonances won't happen at the same frequencies (you can have the 432Hz figure at 440Hz, just by changing the container size)
those nicety-nice figures thus are meaningless by themselves
they're just a fun experiment to teach student about modes, is all
of course, try and get hippies and audiofools to ever understand anything right, lol...
funnily enough, in music, you absolutely want to avoid modes, because they wreak havoc
those 20-30dB from earlier, the Human ear will perceive them as 4-8 times louder, if you're seated at the worst place (very unenjoyable)
in other places, the affected frequency will even be totally canceled, and you won't hear it at all
modes are the bane of proper sound reproduction: first thing to ever treat, and get rid of, always
