>>18556637A few things. First, I know there is some form of a higher power because we see evidence of it all over the universe. Even if you were to just focus on the big bang itself you find evidence of God. The universe is headed towards a "heat death" which indicates that it hasn't existed for eternity. We have plenty of evidence for the big bang. Time, space and matter were all created in the big bang so whatever caused it would have to exist outside of time, space and matter. God is the only logical conclusion that I see.
Additionally, the crucifixion of Jesus is considered incontrovertible by historians. The prophet Isaiah wrote about the crucifixion of the Messiah over 700 years before the crucifixion of Jesus and the historical record shows that it happened just as Isaiah prophecied and what's very fascinating is that we have ancient manuscripts of those writings which predate the birth of Jesus.
What is even more fascinating is that King David also wrote about the crucifixion of Jesus and described nails being driven through his hands and he wrote this before crucifixion had even been invented yet. Like Isaiah's writings, we have manuscripts of David's writings which predate the birth of Jesus by several centuries also.
And there's just a lot of general archeological evidence that confirms the bible to be true. I ended up picking up some books on the subject because it's so fascinating to read about these events and then look at photos or videos of what's there today.
Also, there's a lot of crazy stuff happening in the world today that lines up exactly with what the bible says.
At some point you have to accept it.
