The story is ahistorical goyslop and the game is slower than actually doing everything it portrays IRL. Rockstar lost something after GTA IV.

you're supposed to be 'underleveled' in final fantasy viii, what you did wrong was not collect enough magic to properly junction your GFs, or teach them the most busted abilities in any RPG ever made. not having to level is what makes final fantasy viii the most fun jrpg to replay.
