Interestingly there's been reports from various tribes around the world about a time before the moon and the "craters" all look like electrode craters and there's reports of electrical discharges wrecking humanity too.
All I really know for certain though is that it's not a physical sphere orbiting around the globe Earth. There's just too much provably wrong with it for that to be the case.
