the body is primitive and it punishes our mind for doing things it doesnt want us to do, its a parasite that does things on its own without regard for the host

I think what're more important and work better than suffering are discipline, teaching, and love from parents and others. suffering might work to a certain point and especially suffering as part of discipline, but past a certain point suffering without discipline is just discouraging and leaves a person tortured.

I don't always like to.
It isn't entirely theoretical, I have read accounts of people that have suffered during being disciplined. It was also common in my country in the first half of the 20th C. And . . . I have met disciplinarians,

The purpose is as way of conversation following on from the originator of this text stream.

well sure it's possible. I have a friend who suffers because of a controlling father, but he's also a better man than I because of how he was disciplined. his father being controlling holds him back, though. so, like all things, discipline needs to be done with restraint.
