The family line will remain pure, as in only those who marry into it will be allowed at a chance for rule, not adoptees.
And furthermore I'll be splitting up the family among 4 (or something) settlements close by to eachother so that there is a significantly lower chance of a settlement getting hit with plague and then they all die
