Apathy is the answer. What happened cannot be undone. It [Sotsgou] is utter garbage and time will not change or fix it. It's out in the open for all to form their own critical opinion, and the fact is that Higurashi's status has degraded, which only reflects the current qualities of the author, who understandably maintains a facade of satisfaction with everything he puts out into the world, so any remedy is out of the question. He doesn't even have the confidence or determination to completely write all the new supplementary material himself without having most of the hard work done for him by others. But maybe that's a good thing. Maybe he realizes how out of touch he is, and therefore naively believes that others can fully fill in for him in implementing his abstract ideas so that he can focus on Cico... oh, never mind. I hope those few quick bucks were worth throwing his most successful creation into the mud of mediocrity and irrelevance.
