The church is the sacraments and the magisterium, edited officialy by the pope concerning morals and dogma, last Time it happened was in 1945 to declare the Dogma of the assumption. They cannot and will never corrupt the sacraments and the magisterium. The political opinions or actions of an evil man that occupies the sit of pope without even using its authority is not the church, just as modern governments does not represent the interest of its people anymore.
