commercial tobacco is objectively bad for you doe, everyone except the most brainwashed knows this. any brand that claims to be 100% natural, can do so even if unhealthy additives are put in, looking at american spirits chiefly. big tobacco has a lot of power, and has actively kept marijuana from growing as an industry.
vapes are just as bad, if not worse. the only alternative, is organically farmed tobacco, free of pesticides. i think there was a study that found the ground of tobacco fields was legit radioactive and choked full of heavy metals due to unregulated pesticide abuse. it's pretty fucked from the top to the bottom, that the only way to know you're not getting some nut ass shit, is to grow it yourself, but you likely won't be able to obtain the same smoky flavours through the typical curing processes.
if you smoke unprocessed tobacco (you can usually obtain this through pipe smoking tobacco, cigar tobacco (not the gas station variant), or whole leaf tobacco), you will instantly notice the difference between the high, compared to your typical commercial cigarette brand. it's like comparing fruit to sweets, their sugar being freebase nicotine, a concentrated form of nicotine that passes the blood brain barrier freely and delivers a potent dopaminergic high.
