Telling the Faroese to stop eating whale is not like telling Germans to stop eating sausages or sauerkraut or what it is you guys stereotypically eat. The Faroe Islands are barren, volcanic rocks sticking up from the sea, they don't exactly have a lot of options. Whaling is what made it possible to survive there in the first place, it's one of the foundations of their culture and way of life.
