personally I believe life is just randomness and probability and that most things that happened before can happen again. so when you die you just stop existing, or maybe there's some kind of unknown experience to be had, but with an seemingly infinite amount of time you back to being a lifeform. the amount of time that passes in between you don't notice, because there's nobody there who could. therefor infinity feels instant. you die, you wake up again. death and rebirth, back to back.
maybe there's a god, but I think the idea of the desert religions is limited and flawed. morality comes from the individual. either you do or you don't. if you're only acting morally because you are afraid of being judged you're not that good to begin with. the idea that atheists, not the religious kind, would have to be evil seems like a projection in the sense, that some christians for example assume without god they would turn evil. if they didn't they wouldn't need god for morality.
