Not so simple.
The west was counting on the fact that Russia government would collapse because of the sanctions and anti-war sentiment. But for reasons that no one understands, the popularity of Putin grew, and some western researches show that up to 75% of Russians support the "special military operation".
Meanwhile, the amount of the population in EU that supports the war is negligible due to the effects of sanctions against Russian energy.

Doesn't help that NATO propose to send Polish soldiers (without consulting Poland government) to western Ukraine, to serve as police force, so Ukraine can relocate those soldiers to the front because of the high losses.

Italy didn't start World War II. Germany, the USSR, France and Britain started it, the first two by destroying Poland, the other two by declaring war on Germany over Poland. Italy only joined almost a year later.

It's not just the grain issue, this past week Zelensky has been going on completely unhinged rants about GIBS ME MORE WEAPONS!!, and sounding completely ungrateful. He also doesn't realise that the West can't give everything since we need to maintain out own stockpiles. It just screams desperation. It's obvious that the counteroffensive has been a failure and his ranting shows it.

At the end of the day the Americans will use the opportunity to bleed Russia dry, and the longer the conflict goes on the harder the demographic and economic deathspiral Russia will experience. Worst. It is extremely dangerous to feed even animals with it. But the Polish one cropped 100 km away in Lublin is of fantastic quality, ready to be shipped in EU. Poland is in wrong here to violate wto rules, but our zebiles choosed the worst possible time to chimpout - polish elections, where politicians must be the most polish in everything. It's complicated.
Soviet industry was always 20 years behind western industry, and when the iron curtain fell. Most of Russian industries did not survive the western competition. Hell, up to some years ago, Russia did not even produce real cheese because they could not compete with heavily subsidized European dairy. This forced Russia to become a rural country that survive on exporting natural and finite resources for really cheap.
But these sanctions are changing it. Without access to cheap, and superior western products, Russians are forced to buy from Russian companies or get Chinese shit.
And since they are at war with the west. Nothing prevent them to break western intellectual property (something that not even Chinese dare to do in broad daylight).
Not to mention that war often leads to a baby boom...

Russia closes the access to Ukraine ports, and now they can't move grains, which is their biggest export commodity.
They wanted to dump it into Poland because transport grain throw various countries, by rail and truck, is incredibly expensive and would eat away profits.
But Poland doesn't want it because:
1. It would severely hurt the farmers, like, Poland would need to subsidize them, or they could go bust.
2. Ukraine allows a lot of pesticides that are not allowed in developed countries.

Almost all of Ukraine's neighbors had restrictions on importing Ukrainian grain, the EU imposed restrictions on those restrictions so Ukraine started selling grain to their neighbors for like a year, now the EU's restrictions have expired and now Ukrainian grain imports are banned again.
