Its hard to explain, they're kind of sweet like a cake but that have strange, almost sour taste to them too, maybe due to the yeast. Overall they are kind of bland but they have a nice texture, they are spongey on top and have a sightly crispy base. The holes allow whatever you put on them to seep all the way through and you eat them hot too. Great with a cup of tea.
