Nah. Adoption is the better option. A lot of kids had shit parents and need to be shown some true love to really prosper. If your life is fucked you shouldn't bring a kid into it and do everything you can to avoid doing exactly that. Just because you suffer doesn't mean another person has to. You need to be very financially stable enough to ensure they can go to private school, college and have a leg up above everyone else. Especially in America.
Finally you have to consider your own personal situation. Any issues you have are going to be baked into your kid at some point. If you're not in the right mind to have a kid then don't.
Kids will always be available for adoption. Passing on your genes doesn't mean anything if you're essentially throwing them away into a terrible world you can't shield them from. Like busting a nut on a sock.
My daughter was not had during a good time for me. Her mere existence is proof of the turbulence. Who I am and she is (she's more than okay calm down) a result of having to make hard decisions. That's what you do as a parent for the betterment of your children. Your life is no longer about you. It's for someone else that has to try to face this world because of you.
